Experience

All-Terrain Exploring

Strap on your helmet and eye protection and take one of Primland Resort's Recreational All Terrain Vehicles out for a guided spin. With room for two and four people, you’ll enjoy panoramic perspectives of the property on trails created especially for off-roading. Explore oak avenues, across rushing streams and along muddy tracks perfect for adrenaline-fueled fun. Personal ATVs are welcome, but you must ride with a guide on Primland's 12,000 acres.

Hiking

Ranging from less than a mile to six or more in length, Primland Resort's private trails lead walkers, hikers and trail runners to the property’s most scenic spots. Graded for intensity, some are meandering loops ideal for gentle strolling or guided nature walks that reveal the abundance of flora and fauna along the way. Others will get your heart racing with steep climbs and rewarding views. Guided private and group hikes are offered by our resident Naturalist, with complimentary hikes offered three days a week, year-round.

Catch & Release Fly Fishing

Primland’s experts teach you everything you need to know. Start on our stocked pond and catch your own trout or bass. Catches can be cleaned, frozen and placed in a travel sized cooler for home enjoyment. Or experience the rush of catch and release fishing on a forgiving stretch of river in Kibler Valley. Seasoned anglers will thrill at the catch and release opportunities for wily brown, brook, and rainbow trout along the picturesque Dan River. Fishing licenses are available for purchase at our Outdoor Activities Center.

Horseback Riding

Saddle up for a guided ride along leafy pathways. Ascend stony ridges to see birds of prey circling blue-hued peaks. Meander through meadows or along creeks. Mounts for riders of every ability. Explore pristine acres and meet the flora and fauna that call it home. Stabling is available.

Mountain Biking

Ride the Old Appalachian Trail on an 11-mile round trip through the heart of Primland Resort's magnificent 12,000 acres. Mountain bikes and helmets are available to rent, or use your own for this thrilling adventure.

Racquet Sports

Grab a partner for a bit of friendly competition on our soft-surface tennis courts. Pickleball, padel, and bocce courts are all open atop the mountain.
